Acta Historica Universitatis Klaipedensis provides an international platform for historical research, focusing mainly on the historical studies of the South Baltic and East Baltic regions, covering a wide range of historical periods from the Middle Ages to modern times, involving multiple fields such as history, politics, culture, and society.
This' History Journal of Klaiperdens University 'takes us to the Middle Ages, examining various aspects of Christianization, which was one of the most important developments that occurred in the Baltic region during this period. The eastern Baltic Sea was the last Christianized region in Europe (13th to 15th centuries). In this book, historians and archaeologists provide new explanations that challenge our understanding of pre Christian customs, attitudes, and beliefs, as well as the subsequent changes. Readers will also gain new insights into the views of other Christians at the time on this region, the holy wars that occurred, and their significance to contemporaries. By drawing attention to one of the earliest documents on Lithuanian Christianization, an article in this book invites us to reconsider the location of Lithuania's earliest territorial structure.
